Maximum Jailbreak is a media project of Space Cooperative, associated with Space Decentral. The project includes this magazine and Virtual Reality (VR) events for space enthusiasts like you. You are invited to participate.

Popular media have a unique potential for energizing whole generations with compelling space dreams and establishing a global, vibrant pro-space culture to drive public science policies and budgets, as well as private funding for space.

No public administration or business can ignore what the people really want.

In the sixties, kids wanted to be engineers and astronauts. Today, kids want to be stock brokers. We intend to rectify that.

In today’s world, too many people cannot set their sights so high as more immediate challenges — rising living costs, student debt, and political strife — obscure the horizon. We intend to help them realign their vision and realize their aspirations.

Our media projects include a popular space magazine for timely news and space views, podcasts, Virtual Reality (VR), science fiction and literature at large, independent films, and big budget Hollywood blockbusters.

With the name "Maximum Jailbreak," first introduced by Benedict Singleton, we pay homage to the Cosmist thinkers that first envisioned our escape from the Earth outwards, "a jailbreak at the maximum possible scale." The pilot episode of our Maximum Jailbreak podcast, published on January 11, 2019, features a conversation with Singleton.

We cover all things space, but with a special focus on citizen space projects for open decentralized space mission planning, design, computing, prototyping, manufacturing, testing, and operations.

We want to amplify the voice of all space enthusiasts, anywhere, who don't feel represented by the space establishment. We are persuaded that space is too important to be left to big governments and corporations.

Similarly, space is not only for technologists and engineers, but also for enthusiasts oriented to softer disciplines and the arts. Eventually, we want to play an important role in humanity's future in space, from humble beginnings near the Earth to awesome adventures among the stars.

We use the publishing platform Ghost and the VR platform High Fidelity.

Make no mistake, this is a very ambitious project. We’ll strive to create a top media venture that will carry the voices of top space thinkers, experts, leaders, and enthusiasts. In particular, we want to carry, amplify and promote YOUR voice.
